When you say NASA, most people think space. For nearly two years, BattleCat worked with NASA Earth Applied Sciences, successfully elevating the agency's profile and helping more scientists find and use their data to improve life on this planet.
We got creative with how and where the team could engage scientists, technologists, and curious citizens. Highlights included getting the team their first events at SXSW in 2023 and 2024, an Earth Day activation in Washington, D.C., and user generated content campaigns like a comic art challenge.

In a market crowded with expensive, private competitors, a scholarship-based study abroad program was struggling to stay relevant and reach new students and host families. We developed the "Get Global" brand campaign to drive awareness with a youth-focused visual identity and messaging strategy. We supported the campaign with a year-long strategic outreach plan that strengthened existing partnerships and launched the program onto new channels.
Since 2019, Kaitlin has been the volunteer organizer and host of the Portland chapter of CreativeMornings, a global community. Together with an all-star all-volunteer team, she produces free monthly events for 100+ people, curating a diverse lineup of creative speakers and providing storytelling and public speaking support.

We worked with NASA stakeholders to get strategic about which stories to tell and how to tell them, then supported development. Kaitlin authored articles including, "Researchers Become “Beaver Believers” After Measuring the Impacts of Rewilding" and "Getting Satellite Data into the Hands of Park Rangers", produced supporting media, and amplified coverage through campaigns and targeted media outreach. She also wrote executive speeches and developed presentations for the main stage.
